I have a Castile Pellet Insert installed in my masonry fireplace, with a stainless chimney liner.

I need to find a reducer that will allow me to connect the 3" vent on the insert to the 4" chimney liner.

The previous connection - made when the stove was installed - is a round hvac reducer made of galvanized steel. This seems wrong to me.

I would appreciate any advice on how to properly make this connection.

that will work. mine was steel and was a stronger then that.

Just make sure to seal all with RTV

Duravent is proprietary as with most other venting systems and only work with same kind/mfg. if not there isn't anything wrong with your increaser/reducer as long as its not rusted out.. ck every year at annual cleaning and replace as needed
