We just bought a condo with a Valor Legend gas fp. I'm wondering what it would look like, and whether it's even possible, to have a flame-only view, removing the fake logs. We've always lived with wood burning fireplaces, and I'm not a fan of the fake log look, but we don't want to convert to wood.
Can we just remove the fake logs? And how would we know what the fire would look like if only flames?
Thanks!

It would look like the burner in your gas grill, most likely. The logs are designed to 1) Hide the burners 2) Diffuse the flames to appear more like a wood fire. And, the logs are a component of the appliance design. Removing them is a modification and that is always discouraged.

Thank you, very helpful.
