Our Avalon stove is about 8 years old (just out of warranty), and our air tubes are totally rusted out. My husband just broke the dremel trying to get one of the end pieces out, and has moved on to the blowtorch. The sleeves are completely frozen. Any suggestions for a solvent to help remove the rust? Hopefully the back pipe will not be as bad...
It will cost $125 to have the local guys come out and do the work.
The manual makes it sound so easy!
We only use this to heat the house, so it has gotten a lot of use. We have done no maintenance on it or the chimney tubes, should we do anything else to keep it happy.

Thanks,
Christina
