While getting ready to sweep my chimney I noticed 2 firebrick on the side of the stove are falling apart on the edges(pic attached). There's a gap between the front and 2nd brick.

Is it time to replace these?
Should I just try and move them to the floor?
Locally, tractor supply has ceramic firebrick but not pumice. Will I notice a big difference if I use ceramic replacements for these?

Stove is a truenorth tn20 and I've had it for 2 years.

Thanks!

I had similar spacing between the bricks in my stove as I took it off the pallet...
