Planning to install a rigid ss liner into my 18' 8x8 clay liner. Anyone used the insulation mix that pours down the gaps/corners? Or should I just use mortar?

I am no expert, I do know that you don't want to use mortar it will suck the heat out of you liner and help the smoke going up the liner condense on the sides creating a nice headache for you. Since the liner will cool off you will also have a poor draft. Use the pour in insulation.
