It's finally feeling like winter for a few days here in KC. Weathermen said we were supposed to get some snow but that fell through. It started out in the lower 30's first thing this morning and has dropped since.
Right now the temp is 10 and the house is 63, stove top at 550 air all the way down and alot of secondaries, plenty comfortable with a sweatshirt on.
I know you guys with the big stoves can crank out the heat but I gotta brag on this little guy.
He's on a steady diet of dry black locust, only 3 nice sized splits at a time because of the firebox size.
I'm gonna throw some more on and there should be enough coals to get a fire going in the morning.
Anyway just wanted to let you all know little stoves can keep a house warm, you just have to feed them more often.
Maybe if I keep feeding him he'll grow and I can finally load N/S.
