Today...first fire in new Scan Anderson 10... when opening door to add wood - quarter sized embers fell out from stove.... this happened several times. They were wedged between the glass door and log retainer. . (sorry... don't know lingo yet).. This appears to be a fire hazard from poor design or am I needing to go to Wood Stove class 101? Will call dealer/installer tomorrow. Wondering if anyone has heard of this problem with this model?

Noticed I have a high bed of coals... approximately 5-6 inches high... fire has been burning about 5 1/2 hours... all toll...about 9 pieces of 16" logs. Is this the normal height for the bed of coals.

Thanks.
A happy but concerned newbie.
