Burning Hunk

It's been a while since I've posted, or logged in for that matter. We had a relatively mild winter here in Southern Maryland and it seems that spring is finally upon us, although its still relatively chilly (and wet) for this time of year. Started the winter of 2015 with 5 tons and ended with just over 2 so I only used about 2 3/4 tons this burning season. The previous winter with the "polar vortex" I burned just over 4 for some comparison.

Anyway, to get to the point I was able to buy some Hamers last year during a Memorial Day sale at the local hardware store. I didn't see any advertisements this year for pellet sales so I messaged their Facebook page to see if/when they were going to have pellets on sale. The responded quickly and said that pellets were not planned to be discounted this Memorial Day but they would offer me 20% off any order that I placed! I scooped up 3 more tons of Hamers to put my stash back at a little over 5 tons for the winter of 2016. Paid $765 total for the 3 tons which included delivery. Good luck on your spring buys!

Nice!

255 a ton with delivery is a pretty good score on Hamers

I agree. Cheapest I got them for was $235. Last ton was $265 ( January ).

I'm just happy to have my next years stash all put away. One less thing I have to worry about this summer/fall. Now if it would ever stop raining and get warm I can shut the stove down for the season.

Same here, all set for at least next year.
