Hello! I decided to clean around my wood stove insert and noticed that the sealant has deteriorated over time. What product should I use to reseal this area? Are there any specific temperature ratings I should be aware of? Thank you!
Furnace cement. It usually only lasts about a season before it cracks off again and needs replacing. I make an attempt to push it into the crack as best I can. Every now and then I shine a flashlight from the top to make sure there’s no gaps. Every time I do I usually have to touch up a small area here and there.
