So all this talk about seasoning firewood got me to thinking about my home mixed meat rub. Its a seasoning, right. So i'll divulge my secret recipe as long as you dont tell the family.....

3 parts - Sweet Hungarian Paprika - NOT THE HOT KIND
3 parts - Garlic Powder
1 part - Salt
1 part - Old Bay

I use this on chicken and pork mainly but have found it to do nicely on beef ribs and some fattier steaks and a select few fishes.

Now that i shared what is your special concoction?

Salt, pepper before grilling, butter, and add garlic powder for scrambled eggs
