I have a PSG wood caddy furnance/oil combo. Cant seem to get enough heat output. Wood is dry. Seems my old inefficient furnance produced more heat. Any suggestions.

When you say your wood is dry, have you measured your moisture? How long has the wood been cut, split and stacked? What is the size and height of your chimney? There's no doubt your old furnace produced more heat (ours did), however we used almost twice the amount of wood we use now. I forgot to add, what's the square footage you are trying to heat, and is your home well insulated or sealed?

Not much info to go on there. The Caddy is one of the best at this.

Based on only what is posted, I would guess that the wood isn't dry enough. Your old unit might have been able to handle it 'OK' if it was marginal, but new units need truly dry wood. At the benefit of burning less of it.
