Hi all, I'm looking for some summer advice on my Newmac. I generally gave up on maintaing the boiler using wood fire--my wife and I work fulltime and just can't get a good routine. In the winter, things are running okay using the oil burner. I know it's inefficient, but we can't afford to replace this monster anytime soon in this economy so it is what it is. The Newmac is connected to a Tekmar Universal Reset Control 374, WIRSBO panel for the pumps, and a Superstor Ultra Indirect Water Heater.
Now that we're in the summer I've turned off all the thermostats around the house and left the boiler alone so that it keeps that hot water, well, hot. But this thing is firing A LOT. Multiple times a day. I can't for the life of me figure out where to start to diagnose why. The boiler manual isn't very helpful. the Tekmar's might as well be written in another language, and the local furnace techs spend more time trying to sell me a new system than figure out how to run this one more efficiently.
Any steps, directions, or help would be widely appreciated. All we want for the summer is our hot water to be regular. I've attached a few pics of the system if that's helpful! Thanks in advance.
