We are installing a Jotul 500v3 wood stove and are struggling with the DCC stovepipe installation. Here is my question: Do we have to use a 6” DCC-SA stove adaptor? Can we just connect the bottom of the telescoping piece of pipe to the stove? We just can’t get the telescoping pipe into the stove adaptor part, and I don’t see why that 6” piece of pipe is even necessary. Thanks.
