Just a few quick questions before I punch a hole in my wall in the morning. I have a Selkirk wall thimble and associated piping that came with the Stove. The previous owner just had the hole drilled big enough for the thimble and the clamp on the outside. According to the directions I have found the clamp goes on the inside of the house. But depending on directions some thimble require another 1" around the piping while the one I found I think is for this one does not mention anything about the extra 1" gap..

Not sure, but check the thickness of your wall. Is it 2x4 or 2x6 construction. My thimble did not fit. It was made for 2X4 walls. Had to fabricate another sleeve to fit the thickness.

If you made the whole 1” larger than the pipe it will be fine. Mine all have a gap i fill with non backed insulation.

never thought of the thickness luckily mine is for a 2x6 wall and going into a 2x4 wall so cutting down will be easy. found the product specific directions and the hole is a few mm larger.. thanks
