New to forum. We got a home that has a Sequoia FA455 2160 stove (date code 0601) and I've taken the top off to clean/replace catalyst/etc only to find that the inner top has cracked and warped to the point that the damper will not even close.
This makes the catalyst useless and, of course, the burns are much less efficient.
I've been looking around for a replacement inner top, but all the ones I can find have a different shape of "wall" that is around the catalyst.
The ones I can find are the same as pictured here.

(broken link removed to http://www.discountstove.com/2160.html)

If you can see part #5, there is a rectangular wall around the top. On our stove, that wall is rounded!
As well, it appears that the back of the inner top is different as well.

I would be very appreciative if anyone could give any advice on replacement tops for this stove, or for any other options to restore this stove. We really love the looks of it and would hate to have to start fully over.

Thanks

Try contacting the folks at the Cozy Cabin in Warrensburg, NY. The owner, Ed Drexel grew up with me rebuilding old VC stoves and is a VC parts distributor.
