Should i put my stove on my hearth and work the pipe connectors from there

Or should i leave the stove off the hearth and work with plumb bobs etc. Having the stove on the hearth would require perhaps a lot of standing on the stove, but it is a cast iron body with large welds.

I put my stove on the pad and stood on it with the plumb bob.....no issues for me. I do have the pedistal base though, but unless you're over 300lbs, I can't believe it would be a problem for the legs.

Maybe check with the two Englander guys on the forum to be safe though.
