It snowed here today - first real snow of the year. Got me thinking about all of the things we do to get ready. Local weather guy collects 'signs of spring' from listeners, I'm thinking about 'signs of winter':

- Last load of firewood stacked under the deck
- Traded tractor bucket for snowplow (No more firewood transport)
- Snow tires on the cars
- Solar panels drained
- Cover on boat
- Hot tub back up to 101 degrees
- Sports car put away
- Screens off of windows
- Added kerosene to tractor's fuel tank
- Darker beers in refrigerator

Sad to see fall behind us, but feels good to be ready.

Don't have to mow the lawn no mo(sic)... time to scavenge wood. First time this year we will have a frost tonite.

Take me to Florida time... almost,
Jim

rakin leaves
taking a jacket to work
making sure I have an ice scraper in the vehicle

Leaving for work and coming home in the dark :-(

Setting up the timers and pluggin in the vehicles. Putting non-waxing additives in my trucks fuel tank and stacking wood in the wood bin after all the summer splitting scraps and oddball cuts are finally gone.
