Can a slip connector be used in a horiz position? The situation is a top exit stove with approx 3' of vertical pipe to a 90 and then approx 18" horiz (less what is taken up by elbow) to thimble.
Or could this be done with stove pipe adapter? I'd like to be able to take this apart easily.

Thanks
