42 degrees and 88% relative humidity = a smokey start in my quad with outdoor air. Anybody else notice that?

Not uncommon. Is the smoke inside or outside the house?

Outside. Just smokes alot prior to light off. Seems to do it when there is a lot of moisture in the air.

Yep...Very common. Your stove is not actually creating more smoke when it fires up, it is just that the humidity makes the air "dense" and the smoke lingers much longer before dissipating. Same reason the smoke from wood stoves "sinks downward" on foggy days as opposed to wafts away. Enjoy the smell....It smells like......"Victory!"

Interesting I have noticed this also and just thought it was a delayed start.

lol X 2:)

Try preheating your pellets. I've read that solves lots of issues.

Sorry. I couldn't resist.

LOL...

DB... I get Smokey start ups too.... Its o.k... Its a Quad. It doesn't need fresh pellets to operate correctly ;)
