Hello fellow pellet burning crazy mother f$%&@$#. Hey ive noticed soot or black streaks on the ceilings and walls is this normal ? I do open it when running to clean ash. Its not alot but we can see it .

No, it's not normal. Sounds like a leak in your vent. I'm surprised it doesn't set off your CO alarm.

I never see smoke escaping from the pipes nor do I ever smell smoke. like I said I do open it daily with it running.

I crack mine open too to do a quick ash clean out while it runs but don't have that issue.
