Has anyone purchased pellets yet? Saw some prices $229.00 for NEWP and $279.00 for Vermont Wood pellets. And L G Granules for $265.00. The prices are from Squire Lumber in Monson MA and Wood Pellets.Com.

No, all though I keep asking at the outlets if they are going to have any end of season sales. So far, nothing. But we have a pnw chain called Coastal Farm and Ranch, that sells gift cards for a 20% increased value twice a year. They are same as cash with no restrictions, so I buy a thousand bucks or more each year and now I use them for purchasing pellets too. But they're still at about 215 for doug fir, no sales mentioned until early fall.

I ordered 3 ton okie gold from Squire a couple weeks ago $259.00/ton. I have burned NEWP in the past with a different stove with no issues. Bought a new Harman from Squire last summer and tried the oakie's. Less to clean and worth the extra for me. I think the oakie's are similar to Vermonts, I burned 5 bags of those. Don't forget half price delivery in April! I'm in Brimfield, $35 delivery.
Been hoarding pellets away here ever since the prices dropped so I'm good for at least next season.
A local business in Western Mass has a Spring Blowout Sale through 4/30/16. Sandri in Greenfield, MA posted on FB $219.99/Ton (40 lb bags) or $229.99/Ton (20 lb bags). The pellets are "Warm Front" which are manufactured by NEWP. FREE delivery when ordering 3 tons or more. My only issue is that the last few years, the pellets have been extremely dusty. I'd almost like to purchase now, and wait until October for delivery, to possibly get this years production.

My 3 tons of Cleanfires from Woodpellets.com were delivered today. Got the Spring sale of $234.90/ton. They are all inside and stacked in their storage areas downstairs. Still had 28 bags of LG's leftover from this past season.

Oooh, I'd love to see that deal around here! Not that I have anywhere to put them, but if I could find them local for that price, I would have to pick some up and find a spot for them.

Basically here on the Cape pellets are not available in the spring, never mind a spring buy. You go in to talk pellets much into March and certainly by April, people look at you like you have three heads. They're all into summer coming. The only place that offers a buy is the Oakie guy who thinks $395 a ton is a sale. Other than him, basically everyone else runs their inventory out and in late Aug it will start showing up again. TSC then "might" have an early buy option by the ton, nothing huge off but it's something. Course TSC generally has low end pellets too, just depends what the distribution center has and sends out is all. And I've found that any distributor that is based in inland Ma has 0 interest in coming to the Cape, in fact most won't return a simple phone call. So we take what we can get starting in late Aug. When most of the country is thinking next years supply of pellets in April, we basically can't find anyone to discuss it, except for the greedy Oakie guy, LOL.

The weather has turned nice here and warmed up a fair bit. Pellet sales must have dropped off as I see the suppliers are now stacking truck loads outside in the corners of the parking lots. I will make it a point to ask again if there are any discounts to get them moved.
Are these prices you folks are posting on the east coast with tax, or do you still have to pay tax on top of those prices?

No tax on heating fuels here in Ma. Yet. And don't go by that Oakie DF price I mentioned, that guy is just plain nuts. But we are still high out here non the less and Cape Cod has been notoriously high on most things anyway, I mean lets face it they have to drive over a bridge to get here ya know !

Who is your dealer and where in upstate, NY do you live? I ask as I suspect your dealer isn't close enough for me to consider. Thanks for any help you can provide.
I got an email saying they ran out of Hardwoods and are sending me Softwood instead, same price. Seems good to me.
Saw an Ad in the local shopper that the supplier that I have used the past few years has Magic Spark for $175 a ton.

I'm in West Michigan too. I found a place called Corn Energy (although I saw only one pallet of corn when I was there
) up in Newaygo and they have Pro Pellets or Magic Spark for $185. Pro Pellets and Magic Spark are the same pellets, just bagged with a different name.

Cool. I was wondering if there was a different supplier out there I didn't know of...ya they have Pro Pellets and Magic spark this year for $185 until May 31. Not sure what they were last year. He said they are going up this fall $5 or $8 a ton unfortunately. Not sure what his fall/winter price is for them.
woodpellets.com are supposed to deliver tomorrow. I got a call from them on the golf course saying that one of the last three (apparently) bags of the cleanfire pacific had a rip in it and would I like the Granules LG. After a discussion, I said yes. I had no idea of Granules' rep. A little flakey if you ask me.
