Stopping pet hair from cloging convection blower

i have one and cat and i noticed if i go more then one month with pulling the blower out to clean the blades my pellet stove does not work. i am thinking of putting some sort of filter on it, any one know of a way, or maybe another pellet stove that has a filter?

Some people have put screen over vents that feed the convection system,easier than taking stove apart.Hit screens with vacuum cleaner.What type of stove?

englander 25pdvc the bolts are impossible to put in when i take out the blower, i am thinking of cutting a hole in the side of the stove inline with the blower intake put in a small pipe and the a screen.

Yup, that's what you want to do.

We did it to the one we gave our daughter.

Metal bade in a saber saw ( the metal is pretty tough)...a couple measures, to drill a hole for center, a compass, drill holes around the circle, and saw away. Takes maybe 5 minutes.

Attached mesh over the hole with 4 screws - if you need to remove the mesh, 4 zaps with a power screwdriver.

One of those Green Scrubby "Scotch Brite" pads work great for filter media.
Seen it used on some Navy Electronic Cabinets we used to build.
Did a great job keeping the "Dust Bunnys" out

The cabinet is open on the sides, so you need a screen like I show in the pic to go on the convection blower.

You sure can, but you have to remove the blower to install it.

this will be my summer project, screen for blower, get the right bolts to put blower on tightly, gasket, thermostate for unit will not turn it off or on just raise and lower feed rate

You need volumn for convection,and may have to block off other intake openings.Old car speaker grills with cloth would work.

i only have acess from the rear of pellet stove.i have to remove blower just want to make it so i do not have to remove blower like every 45 to 60 days

If you go on the right side of the stove, you can stick your hand up from the bottom and actually touch the convection blower. If you install the screen, then you can peel the dust off with your fingers this way without removing anything.

How about a hole in back panel to stick a pipe through when needed,hooked to vacuum?Would not be 100%,but?
