We had a couple of warm days here in western NC and I was able to let the stove go cold. It's back down in the 20s tonight, so I thought I'd take advantage of a cold stove to give my glass a good wipe down. I have a Jotul F600 and I keep my front doors locked while burning and do all my loading through my side door. I even clean my glass by reaching in through the side door. Today I opened the front doors to give the glass a good cleaning and I noticed my left door glass panel was slightly off center just barely catching the gasket on one side. I got an allen wrench to loosen the four bolts to re-center the glass and was surprised to discover they were so loose I could turn them with my fingers!
I centered the glass and re-tightened the bolts being careful not to over torque them and break the glass. When I checked the other door the bolts were all tight, but that glass was also slightly out of alignment, so I loosened those bolts to repeat the centering process. I've never checked this before and thought perhaps other forum members might also have this slip past them.
