Hi all, I have been researching (NFPA 211) trying to find out how far up from the stove the elbow should be and how far from the ceiling the horizontal connector should be. I'm not having much luck and the inspector is away for a few weeks. Anyone have any thoughts?? Also, on the back of the stove it says..... flue to rear 36" . The stove vents from the top, so I'm not sure how that applies to me.

PS For those helpful folks that helped me with the Quaker Moravian....My building inspector is on-board!! Thank you!!!

singel wall black stovepipe must be 18 inches clearence. i would give the stove a minumum of 2 ft vertical before elbow but the code does not adress that it does adress that the horizontal run can be no more the 6 feet. hope this helps
