What's more important for drying wood? If you had a spot that was very sunny but sheltered from the wind vs a very windy spot in the shade, which spot would dry wood better?

Feeling the Heat
The heat from the sun will cause some natural convection. My vote is sun too. It doesn't take much wind to carry away the very slightly more moist air from the wood and too much wind might actually cool the pile off and slow down drying.
