Superior fireplaces

I've attempted to search but could not find much information about Superior fireplaces. Specifically, I am looking at the WRT4820, which is a zero clearance wood stove. Its specs and dimensions are a perfect fit for my location, I just can't find any information or reviews about this company or that fireplace. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

A little more info: House is new construction. Wife wants traditional fireplace look, I want the efficiency of a stove, so it seems a ZC fireplace would fit the bill. Fireplace needs to be EPA certified since our house will be EnergyStar certified. Fireplace will be used for occasional heating.

Just looked at this fireplace. I haven't seen it before. It looks similar to the BIS Brentwood. That's a nice wide fire view. For occasional heating it should do the job.

We recently ripped out our ZC contractor-grade fireplace and replaced it with a ZC Valcourt FP10 Lafayette (2.5 cu. ft - EPA). Been very happy with it.

Is the 4820 rated for ZC? I can't find that listed anywhere in the documentation.

Have you looked at the Flame Monaco XTD?

Looks ZC to me. Nice that it uses less expensive 6" class A chimney.

Thank you for the suggestions. The wife wants a square front and door, which limits our selections somewhat. I see that valcourt makes the FP12 which has a square front, but the ducting appears to be more complicated since it doesn't have built in heating vents. That was another thing I liked about the 4820, the fan and vents were built in, only need to install the outdoor combustion air vent and chimney.

When I was a kid my parents had a Glacier Bay stove, always loved hanging out in the rec room during winter with that thing pumping out the warmth. Can't wait to get back into a house with a fireplace!

Since we are still in the framing stage, anything special we should do to the chimney chase? It is framed with 2x6 and is approx 20 ft tall. We were going to insulate and drywall for the fire barrier.

Take a look at the RSF Focus 320, Kozy Z42 and Pacific Energy FP30 fireplaces too.

How large an area will be heated? What is the ceiling height there?

Our main living area is approx 2200 sq ft. The room the fireplace is in is about 1000 sq ft. It is an open living room/kitchen area with vaulted ceilings, 9ft to 13ft. Attached is the floor plan and fireplace location.

The focus 320 was second on my list. I am also attempting to locate a quality installer in the central Maryland area.
