Hello, my pellet stove has the type of tee cap that has a screw to tighten when putting cap back on. This thing has never been agreeable and seems to be worse than ever. I just can't seem to get it so that it feels tight and in place. Stove is working fine but I feel there is more slightly more wood smell in the house than usual. Any tips to getting this thing to close better? Thinking of getting the old style cap that screws on and using that.

Is it VISIBLE to people in the room where the stove is?
If not, wrap the seam with aluminum tape to stop anything from leaking out.
