When I opened the damper on my fireplace, what I think is a counterweight fell off from somewhere. I can't see any logical place it may have been attached to using the thumbscew/clamp. Here are thumbnails of the counterweight and the TOP side of the opened damper. Any ideas on where the counterweight goes?
