Feeling the Heat

Using the regency i1100s and I've always kept temps to a max of 500° f. I have been to wonder what the max temporally is. According to the manual if the baffles are glowing red back off the wood and I am good to go.

Seems like a dangerous game to load up until I see glowing? Can I fire this unit up to 750? It would make short work of heating my living room that's for sure
