From looking outside my window . . . it looks like Spring is already here and has been for the last few days . . . sadly. Only one snowmobile ride so far and I had to trailer north to do it.

You've only got yourself to blame for not being able to use your snowmobile this year after all the snow you got last year. When you were replenishing your wood supply last year you should have been shoveling snow into a side bin for this winter!

Nice and sunny in northern NH today bare spots of grass showing definitely not much of a winter. The snowmachine trail groomers have been parked in this area, there was enough snow for folks to be out but its real scratch and must be rough on equipment. Some folks are still bringing ATVs up to run on the ATV network in northern NH there is so little snow. I was out hiking up a local mountain on Sunday and was wearing shorts for much of the day. I expect the local tourist businesses are hurting although the NH primary campaigns are probably going to suck up some rooms for the next week. I could probably supplement my heat with all the campaign postcards I am getting daily. Once the primary is over things will go back to quiet until we get some snow.

I actually blame a friend . . . who bought a plow truck this year with plans to plow snow for most of the winter. I think he may have gone out four times at best.

I bought a John Deere lawn tractor and a 44" snowblower on the front this year, which I believe actually caused winter to skip a year.

(It snowed once, and clearing the driveway was super fun, except when one of the chains fell off at the bottom of the hill and I couldn't get back up the hill without it, so I had to unwrap the chain from the axle and get the damn thing back on in the snow.)

Mud season already... of course, Feb. is normally the snow month, so maybe we will get walloped yet.

Found these strange tracks in the yard- 2 cm ish, vaguely canine. Could be shih tzu.

Never mind.
