After sitting for year in garage the splitter started to leak from the pump connection. See the picture. I attempted to make it tighter and started to leak more. Is there some kind of seal ring I need to change? Link would be helpful.

It would appear it’s leaking above where you posted pictures from. I can see red fluid around whatever the silver block is in your second picture.

Got it out, seems like busted O-ring

How do you explain the red-like fluid above that fitting and the pump? Pump-shaft seal?

The pic of that thread gives me the impression that it's been cross threaded?

There is an anomaly at the fitting that could be a dislodged o-ring.

The update. It was the busted O ring. It's not leaking after I changed it. The next question is : how tightly do I have to do it. Should I go with full force? Afraid to bust the O-ring by tightening too much.

Tighten it while it is running. When you get to the point where it stops leaking, that is tight enough.
