Had a problem for a while with running it smoothly. got new aftermarket carb and it still give me a problems. It runs in a half choke position but tends to shut down when engine is hot and dies if i put it in the "run" position. Thinking if my best bet is just to buy another carburetor, may be a better quality?
The weird part is that original started to do the same for me. Thinking if it might be something else besides carburetor.
Thank you for advice.

It's a 2 stroke. Could be gas or carb if the piston ect are OK. I'd try the gas route first, right from the tank pickup filter. Clean the original carb and then try it too. OEM carbs are best. The no name ones are not as good.

Does it still happen if you loosen the gas cap for a second?

Stil shuts down with new filter and open tank . It runs couple seconds and shuts off when trying to rev the engine in running mode
