Good Day, I have just replaced my single wall interior black pipe with double wall. I believe my current Rutland unit from my previous Waterford stove is made for single wall piping only.

Does anyone have recommendations on Both a flue and stove top units? I am installing a new stove and would like to get accurate readings as I learn to operate my GM60. I appreciate any thoughts and recommendations.

This forum has been very helpful with my new stove endeavor to date, thank you.

Dave

Sure, go to Condar.com for quality thermometers. USA made. Most seem happy with this brand --- I am. I only use a stove top one. Good luck with your new setup.

I just ordered a stove top thermometer from Midwest Hearth which says made in the USA. I was going to go Condar but the white best zone color w/ a white pointer seemed like it would be tough to see in lower light. Midwest has orange for the best zone with a white pointer. Seems to be fairly close to my IR gun. Time will tell.

Thanks guys, trying to decide if the flue probe thermometer is required in my new Hearthstone GM 60. I have a surface unit working now. And with the cat meter on the side, it may be over kill. Unsure.

There are not many of these stoves out in the field yet to give you meaningful feedback. How these GM stoves run under real world burning in a variety of conditions is unknown. You will be telling us.
