Wondering where I should place my magnetic thermometer. The first 18" is double wall pipe. After that it's single wall pipe. This is in my garage so I'm ok with the pipe setup.

As low as possible on the single wall.

Is the stove far enough off the ground for Canada code in garages? (In the US it's not allowed to have a solid fuel heater in a garage.)
