Hello. the pilot light is on. I replaced the thermopile. I now have 485 millivolts across the valve. The fireplace won't light (go on).

Time to replace the valve?

Can you tell us the model of your unit? Are you hearing a “click” from the valve when you turn the switch on? Have you jumping the TH & TH-TP terminals with a small wire? If jumping doesn’t work, try tapping on the regulator head with the plastic handle of a big screwdriver. If jumping DOES work, it may be a bad switch.

Check for voltage drop when switching fireplace on. If you have voltage drop try tapping it like daksy said. Next test pressure out. If you have pressure out next check for physical blockage in burner line/orifice. Next test resistance on valve, Then you can replace the valve.
