Thermostat on Pre-2004 25-PDVC?

I know this is probably an RTFM thing, but can a thermostat be hooked up to an older 25-PDVC? If so, has anyone done it successfully?

I've got an '03 that works great but would love to be able to get it attached to a stat.

Manual says that a wall thermostat can be install to all their pellet stoves.
