Its time to replace my combustor on Large Hybrid Flash Travis Insert. The last time I paid around $400 at Midwest Wood Store about three years ago. Its listed for the same price now but "Unavaliable", like a bunch of other combustors as well. I guess they are ready to hike the price. The officaial dealer quoted me $720 plus tax .This is outrageous. I want to buy some cheaper metal combustors that still at stock and simular to specs and fit into stove. I know it's not up to code but paying $800 for combustor is not an option. It just defeats the purpose of the stove to save money.
What do you guys think?

This is basically the guts of the stove so it's required. Don't they have a warranty?

That's a big Combustor, more like 2 combustors in width.
FWIW -This has been an issue with other stove brands too.

Condar lists it under FPXhybrid-fire I think, for $519.

Here is a better priced one, but I don't know who makes it. Looks like they are out of stock too

Keeping a stove going, affordably, year after year, is a strong point for a simple stove design with long term parts backing by the manufacturer.

The stove is like 10 years old, so, no warranty. I get new combustor every 3 years. First one was 250ish, second $400, two years later its $720. No inflation or tariffs can justfiy it. The other simular combustors are much less. I can buy two of those and stuuf itt in the opening

Got my hopes up , but it out of stock, just like other places.

Actually Condar lists it for 519, but ceramic. Was hoping for metal one. Ceramic does not last long in my applacation, with some direct contact with flame due to stove design

I was thinking the combustors themselves have a warranty. I thought the newer stoves provide a 5 year? And another 5 years on the replacement? I went with a pellet stove, so I never did own a woodstove with one.
