Thinking of Buying Another Englander - Suggestions?

I'm thinkers mg of purchasing another Englander at the end of this season. I currently have a 25pdvc thatheats my 1500 sq ft adequately, but looking to upgrade to one of the models rated for 2000 sq ft. I plan on sticking with Englander, as I've been real pleased with mine over the last 4 years. Any thoughts from folks with those models?

Just got my 55-TRPEP today....I think these are a great deal along with the other re-furbed stoves he has....I'm just getting it dialed in in the garage and trying to burn off the new paint smell....I've been kicking this around for a while and finally pulled the trigger last week....I'm glad I did....

I have the 10-cpm multi-fuel and like it a lot. It will burn just about anything you put in it, since it has settings for corn & cherry pits too. Some of us tested grass, wood/grass, and even coffee pellets a couple years ago and the 10-cpm burned them like a champ (burt the ash amounts were VERY high).

If you have no interest in this, then a "standard unit might be more to your liking. And if looks aren't important, the PAH's large hopper is very nice.

YOU really need to decide what you want most.

I'm struggling with the exact same choice. I have the pdvc already and want a different model for the basement. Multifuel is appealing but getting up there in price. I'm in corn country and ponder talking to farmers to find out how much i could get corn for straight from them. I sorta like the 25-pah...people say it looks utilitarian but i like it.

Unfortunately, unless you call Englander and confirm that it's allowed, the PAH is not designed to burn corn. I do not see it mentioned anywhere in the owners manual.

At best, it might be able to burn a 50/50 mix of corn & pellets.

i would get the 25-pah if sticking with just pellets. I would get the 10-cpm if going the corn route.

We have this one. We bought it from AMFM through ebay. We love it! I love being able to fill the hopper up and not have to worry about filling it for a couple days or three. Although we are so fresh to this we clean it almost everyday and fill along with it. But its nice to know we can leave it and not have to worry about running out. And of course Mike and Englander have great customer service so that is an added bonus.
Multifuel would be great but initial cost for us was a biggie so we went with an affordable unit. Maybe at some point down the line we would do multi fuel.
