I’ve been out rounding up some easy scrounge wood in the rural area I live the last few weeks and I thought I’d show you what I’ve gotten this week. Last week I got about the same amount wood and I’ve processed and stacked it already. Up here the woods are full of good hardwoods and the scrounging is pretty easy and plentiful but I have too much wood really but I have a hard time letting some of the stuff I know is down and been pledged to me go to rot so I go get it and stack it yet.this wood I’ll post photos of is elm, red oak, white birch, cherry and hard maple. I take big and small wood down to an inch, the small stuff I chop up on a miter saw I keep in the yard covered with a canvastarp when I’m not using it and I fill big boxes and storage binsI’ve gotten for free at the dump with it all... it adds up to a lot of wood Really. You did pretty good and that's all free with your labor and what a nice thing to do is to walk in the woods...Now comes the work with cutting it up and getting it ready to store and burn...clancey
