We currently have a three sided fireplace that is wonderful in the winter. We have found that often times the heat travels to the small dining room the most and we would like it to go in the living room opposite the dining. We are considering putting glass doors on the fireplace to be able to channel the heat to the room we would like.

Is it possible to do this without big using inserts on each side? Is there such a thing as very thin frames for inserts?

As you can see, we currently have the screen which is suspended from a track and held in by fasteners and screws. I painted the gold with a heat resistant paint and love how it turned out. It brings it slightly out of the 70's.

Any ideas are welcome and appreciated.

Search in Google or ask at your local fireplace shop for multi-sided fireplace doors.
