The above is the fire damper looking to use.
House Info:
Slab on foundation
Stove on 1st/ground floor not centrally located
1st floor: 1000 ft2
2nd floor: 1400 ft2
The AC was installed after the fact, only cold air return is on 2nd floor, with all ducting in attic. Which is why I can't use AC to move air around.
My plan is to add a 10" duct centrally located on 2nd floor to be able to move the cool back to the 1st floor. The stairs to 2nd floor would path up for the heated air which is right next to stove.
My question is what fan speed/flow rate would a person be looking to use for purposes of creating a recirculation loop. Beyond the fire damper is there anything else the setup would need to keep insurance companies happy? I am out in the rural county so isn't much code enforcement.
