So I stopped by a dealer today who had T-wolf stoves amongst other brands. Said they are a solid performer with a low price tag. Said the quality of the fire box is as good as other top name brands just not marketed with many options. Kind of a "get what they offer" stove...take it or leave it. Is this also the same stove makers as Napoleon's?????

If so, what would the T-wolf economizer 2200 equal in the Napoleon lineup...1100, 1400 series? Is the quality the same between the two?

So, if I was trying to buy a solid value, would the Englander NC13, Drolet Myriad and the T-Wolf Ecomizers all be in the same league as far as performance and quality?

I am having a hard time pulling the trigger on a stove because of the "brand" name stoves wanting so much more money. If these above listed stoves are of equal quality....why spend the money?

Please help me out here.

Wolf Steel makes the T-Wolf and the Naps. Quality is comparable. Stoves you list are comparable in performance and quality. So support is your question. SBI (Drolet) and Englander (England's Stove Works) have good reps for direct customer support. With the Wolf it depends on the dealer. And personally I wouldn't think there is enough money in the deal selling a "value" stove for him to spend a lot on supporting it. Maybe not. Just my opinion. Ask the dealer specific questions about who handles warranty issues, who pays shipping it it needs warranty work and replacement of a defective stove or parts and repairs.

The questions nobody ever asks a dealer and end up here pissed off. Even with mega-bucks stoves.

I guess maybe I would. I have two Englander wood stoves and one of their pellet stove that I purchased online. And support is handled directly by their customer support department. Not the store you buy it from.

Drolet probably does it the same way. I would post a question here about Drolet customer support to get owners experiences.

I downloaded one of their stove manuals and it said Napoleon products in the address bar, so I assume that's who makes them. Maybe bare bones Napoleons?

Sure there are. They consider having a door an option... or at least an upcharge. I don't suppose there is anything wrong with that, but I thought it was funny when I was talking to the salesman.
