Osage, can you heat
My house o'er night?
Whilst you valiantly spark
In my Fisher wood stove?

And the sparks bright red glare
As they com-bust in mid-air
Give shrieks to my wife
Screaming, "Close that damn door!"

Osage can you keep me warm
Thro the winter of 2015/16?
In my house, and in my home
Thro the long... winter... nights?

I improvised most of this verse for my wife's benefit tonight after scoring five rounds of osage between 2 and 3 feet in diameter, following up on a tip from a friend. It was only about five blocks from my house, so I wasted no time grabbing what I could tonight, and plan to go back for more tomorrow.

Scrounge life! I love it.

Anyway, thanks for indulging me in this bit of cheesiness.

Heh-heh. >> That's all well and good on the score, but we're gonna need pics.... ==c

Wood burn and burn
