Picked up some cherry, white oak, red oak and ash today. The nice thing about it is it was on the horse farm next door and the guy gave me $10. an hour for doing it! All I had to do was hook the ATV wagon to the BX 2660 and cruse over the hill start cutting. The oak and cherry were already down, the ash I had to drop. First ash I've cut in 4 years that wasn't killed by the little green monster; the horses girdled it by eating the bark all the way around the tree. There will be about 4 more of those ash trees to cut. Guess ash bark must be snack food for them

Nice haul and you made some money too! Some good looking wood there

Sounds like you have quite a bit of ash to get. Great. Nice haul.

Nice! that's my favorite collection, as it is with almost everyone here
Good job

Great to get good firewood and get paid to do it too! Then you find there is more ash to cut. Have you played the lottery lately?

Wow!! What a deal for you!!
Our horses like just about any tree but are particular to ash and cherry. For some reason they don't even nibble at the walnuts.

3 years ago I cut several smaller black walnut trees from another horse farm not for from my place because the owner said that when the walnuts fell from the trees the horsed could step on them and get injured!?! She said when it was just about walnut time she used to place an ad on Craig's list for free walnuts. Over the years fewer and fewer people came so she contacted me to cut the trees. No wonder, them dang things are a heap of work and make a big mess if you don't know what you are doing.

It's not looking that way! I gatta tell you, my wife and I put on jackets and sat outside early spring just to smell that cherry that you sent burn! Once this wild weather settles some one of the next trees the owner wants me to cut is a big double cherry. I'll post pictures when the time comes. It's going to be a wild job. the right side is standing dead, the left side is live but the single trunk is full of critter holes.
