700 stt on my summit would be a nice strong active secondary fire. I bet that gauge is out of calibration. I keep two on mine just for redundancy. One picture showing 550-600 then 3hours later at 350-400. Fan a hair over half way is where I keep mine most the time.

Cheap enough to buy a new gauge. Make sure it is for STT..
