how about peoples list of the top 5 or 10 small EPA woodstoves ..if possible with pics and prices.... just woodstoves

Define small.

And top on the basis of what? Appearance? Value for the cost? Ease of use? Company support/Customer service? Design? Durability (built to last forever no matter how bad you treat it)?

IMHO Woodstock and Jotul are tops as far as I have heard from reviews on this site over the past few years.

PE vista, Lopi answer/1250, jotul f3cb, jotul 602, jotul f100 nordic, vc aspen (no other by vc), scan A-10

Gotta throw my Englander 13 NC in there. With 1.8 cf fire box (small), a price of $500 at the time of purchase, ease of operation, and excellent heat output she's hard to beat.

Good chance that the stove I have will always be the best for my application. People are biased like that.

My list for small 24/7 stoves meaning they should be intended to burn 24/7 and have at least a 2CF firebox are:

heritage (about 3000$, pictured)
fireview (about 2600$)
PE T5 size stove series
blaze king princess (big stove but small output)

An honorable mention to:
Jotul or Morso stove with side door, they just look good. Must be gasketed and not need periodic rebuilds.

I like the bottom hinged door - only thing lacking is glass insert

Great for getting rid of junk mail too eh? wonder if you could get an auto-ignite feature :)

The only small stove I have had was Jotul a 606, it was great until I wanted to burn 24/7. Several of my friends have small Jotul stoves combi-fires and F3's, been heating great for many years. That is a cool little heater there Brother Bart, what was it intended for? I made a camp heater a while back, works great!

I'm going to throw in the Drolet Savannah, it's a small no frills EPA stove, but it's very well built and it's gets very good reviews. I thinks it has a 1.4 or 1.5 cf firebox.

I got the pics off of the web a few years ago. When my current large rural mailbox gets a little more ragged I am going to use it to make one for grins.

(burning) All the cr*p that comes through the US Mail on a daily basis?

Here is the Morso 1410 Squirrel I installed in my fishing cabin. Works great for a small space. Logs must be under 12" to fit. Around $1,000 new.
