Friends had three trees cut, and asked if I wanted the wood. Of course, but it is a 25 mile trip one way. It is easy pickings, so I picked up a load of small stuff last night, and two loads today in the rain. There are two more loads to get, probably about four cords altogether.

I have no clue what the big one is. It is heavy, pretty dense, and OL on the meter. I cracked one open with the Fiskars, and it split in two whacks. It was a pretty big tree, 30"+ DBH, and split into two main branches 20-24". The end grain was really dark after sittng for a few days.

Some pics.
