Looks great! Someone fall off a ladder?

That must be where my wife went to...

I was using it the to check out my chimney the day we had an ice storm, the storm got bad enough I went inside and it wound up tipping from the wind. The next day it was frozen in, I have tried moving it but i'm afraid of breaking it. I guess I should have taken the picture at night.

Beautiful work on the hearth, and a nice looking stove there - good job!

Thanks a lot!! I see pictures like this and realize what a piece of crap house I live in...

Great looking stove and hearth!

Looks great. One question, what was the reason you decided to have the stove off center? Is this to give you room on one side for tools, wood, etc.? Just curious looks good.

Side loading door has greater clearances than the right side. Did you oil your kettle? It sure is dark.

Don't I feel dumb. I know this, but didn't realize the stove had a side door. Well shame on me for being an idiot today. Thanks for the reply.

Absolutely beautiful stove and installation.

I'm sorry lvfd50 if it came across that way. I certainly wasn't trying to make anyone feel dumb. It is very likely that many folks don't know about the side door.

I should have mentioned the offset was for the side door, I've had other people aske me that.

Yes, I did oil my kettle. The instructions had me oil it, fill with water, then bake at 350 for two hours. Then it said it was ready for use. I'm a lot more paranoid about running out of water in this than the old kettle before I didn't care about.

Thanks for all the compliments, I added a before picture in the fist post.

Awesome look!

I purchased a stove this winter and am currently using my dad's old hearth pad, but this summer I'm going to build and tile a nice hearth with a matching back. Yours is truly an inspiration!
