Hi, we have Fireplace Xtraordinair Model 36 Elite. Since our old ceramic catalytic combustor was starting to fall apart, I ordered a replacement. So far, so good.

This is going to sound dumb, but I can't seem to get the old one out of the fireplace. It freely moves forward but about 1/4" before it completely slides out of the steel shelf, it hits the fixed steel of the inside front of the firebox. I can't get it out. And, I'm assuming since the replacement is the same size (3.5 inches x 18 inches x 3.0 inches), I assume I'll have the same difficulty putting the replacement in.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks!
