I am still trying to figure out why this stove is not working..Anybody that may be familiar with this stove may have some ideas what to check..

some questions.

what does the T-1 SENSOR DO
And the T-2 SENSOR DO

I have found 3 fuses and they are good..I have sent a message to Thelin. there support is not that good so i am not expecting much help.

I have a thelin parlour 3000 pellet stove..made 2002...
1. when i plug the stove in , green led on the bottom of stove is on for 1 sec then goes out, when working proper this light would be on all the time.

2. when i turn the control knob,
fan – nothing
low . med , high- auger turns about a 1/2 turn then stops..
clean, FAN WORKS.

I thought it may be the transformer but when the fan works on clean, it must be getting power...could i bypass both sensors to rule them out.. any other suggestions.

T1 sensor is to sense blocked flue condition or blocked intake air from the fan underneath being blocked by dust or pet hair etc. T2 is proof of fire sensor, it tells the stove when to come up to full speed as it comes to operating temperature, or to shutdown because the fire went out. One question, when you plug stove in does the fan kick on for a second? It should. To me it seems that you may have a fan problem, they always seem to work on clean. Have you ever changed the brushes in the fan motor? If the fan speed seemed to surge before the stove stopped working this could be the problem.

Thanks for your reply...i made a mistake on the symptoms, i took the cover off the check the circuit board and fuses are good.. i will start again, this is what the stove is doing and by the way it has nearly a new motor in it and when i turn to clean it runs..

I plug stove in and the green lite will come on then off only takes 1 sec go go off..IT should stay on...indicating a problem.

I also notice on the circuit board that's behind the switch ,there is a Green Lite flashing...i would think this is indicating a problem. as i would think it would be steady green.

When i turn the knob from off to fan... the intake fan runs, but the blower fan does not.. this is a manual start stove and the blower fan should be running on low when i start it..

when i turn the knob to low med and high, the auger starts to turn and drop pellets..

I am wondering if one of the sensors are gone...there are 3 wires for each sensor, not sure how i would bypass to rule them out..............but very confusing as why the LED power lite would not be on because of a sensor..

The T-2 sensor is it the round plastic one or the flat sensor that looks like metal..

Parlor stove only has one motor/dual fan?Am I mistaken?Your sensors appear to be actual 5v ranging sensors, not snap switches.Hard to test quickly.

YES DUEL FAN ...I thought that i could unplug the sensor and bypass it some how, but maybe i should just try a new T-2 sensor

T2 sensor s flat steel. There is only 1 fan motor in this stove it serves as both combustion and convection fan. Have you checked the fuses located under the stove near where the power cord goes in? There are probably 2, main fuse and relay or ignitor fuse. Obviously in your case if one of the fuses is for the ignitor this will not be your problem because your stove is not getting to that point. I still say check the fan because usually when the brushes are going bad the fan will run on clean and high but nothing else.

I have already replaced the motor twice on this stove, both times the motor would run, ok on high and med, but low it would slow down and speed up..also the green LED light on the bottom was on steady.. now it is OFF
There is 1 fuse on the underside of the stove, this stove is manual start.. no igniter.. the circuit board has 2- fuses both are good, but the LED on the circuit board is flashing.I think it is telling me there is a problem.

when i turn the stove on FAN .. the motor runs very slow , you cant hear it , its running so slow. but its running smooth.. its running 1/2 the speed it should , i think so you cannot start the stove, part of the shutdown, caused maybe by a sensor, or other...

not running slow because of a motor issue , even when the previous motors went, they would run fine tell they got warmed up then only on low it would slow down and then speed up.

I never had good luck sending emails to Thelin since Jay sold the company, but if you call them you can usually get some help and I have had a couple of them give me some good advice.

I know Jay was great, he even sent me parts...now they wont.. i will call them see if they can narrow it down...
